So, I've gone ahead and set-up
a module to show the phpBB recent topics on the home page. It seems like it works well, but at this time it shows the url's in the old non-seo'd formats. I'm seeing if someone over at the phpbb-seo.com website can help me modify the code to get it looking like it should. The links do properly redirect to the seo'd url's via a 301 redirect, so I think it should all be okay. I know on my other forum, I have yet to get any of the phpbb threads indexed, yet the bbPress threads on that site are getting indexed extremely well. I wonder if it is because I have a sitemap that does not include the phpBB threads (although there are links there for them to get spidered), or if it is because I have a robots.txt file that excludes some of the content in that directory (but not the threads obviously), or if it is some other reason like not enough links or the content is too similar to other content on that website. Oh well - I am not in any hurry for that information to get indexed so I will give it some more time.
